This trailer is just a taste of the 40 minute documentary. The Melbourne Founders Museum at Crane Creek uncovers the land’s past through an insightful documentation of black history. In a country where the influence of freed black persons and the importance of African American heritage is often overlooked, the town of Melbourne, Florida, uncovers consequential history within its borders. This documentary follows the restoration and sentimental facts and tradition behind the first black church in Crane Creek. Through the accounts of life-long residents of the town, powerful stories unfold and a glimpse of a tightly knit, resilient community comes into light.
